Accomodations - What You Can Expect:
Personalized Service
Our seasoned guides take care of your needs from sunrise until the
day's shooting is over. During the pre-hunt breakfast, they'll go over
what lies ahead, whether it's the type of clothing best suited for the
morning, or how the decoys will be set. If desired, the guides will
take care of the calling as well as the dog handling.
A Welcome Mat for Your Dog
In this day and age, it's often difficult to find a place to keep your
dog when you travel to hunt. At Fish Point Lodge, your dog is welcome
to stay inside. In fact, we encourage you to bring your dog if you'd
like.
Comfortable Surroundings
After the shooting's done and the birds are hung, it's nice to have
a pleasant place to put you feet up. The main room of the lodge is such
a place. With it's massive fireplace serving up the warmth and a comfortable
chair nearby, it's a fine setting for swapping stories, enjoying a drink
or two, and making plans for the next day's hunt.
Good Food
In its storied history, Fish Point Lodge has long been known for its
fine meals. Breakfast is generally served about two hours before shooting
time, with lunch offered in the blind or back in the lodge. Bring your
appetite when the dinner bell rings because few hunters have ever left
the table hungry.
A Concern for Your Safety & Well Being
Though sometimes understated, we take a great deal of care in ensuring
our client's safety. Our blinds are built with gun racks to safely store
guns and all visitors are required to handle their firearms with their
blind partner's safety in mind. You can also be assured of safe transport
to and from the blind and being off the water before any severe weather
threatens.
